We are after articles, this can be anything related to web development or even server management for users new at VPS servers, and we will reward you. You can earn from $10-$50 worth of NodeHost credit based on topic and size. Below is a simple breakdown and we will expand this over time.
Difference between Tutorial & Articles
A Tutorial is a step by step to get the same results like "How to install Wordpress from a backup". Articles are information like "Domain security basics, how to protect your info" as it's a generalized guide and any part can be substituted for something else or different programs.
Basic how to tutorials like installing a forum software and the setup, or basics on DNS and DNS security.
Large complex guides on server management, installation, or even guides on web security.
Post and get feedback before submitting
You can post it in the Tutorial & Article Submission section while you are still creating your submission, just include DRAFT in the start of the title.
How to post when finished
Post a comment on this discussion about your idea, what you want to write about, and if we say then it's time to start writing. When you are done post it into the General area under the Tutorial & Article Submission section so we can take a look but also so we can move it into the main Tutorial & Article section when we approve it.
Everything we use, on our main site and on the community is written in Markdown. So as long as you use headers, and other markdown code as it should be used we are fine with any structure.
We have your username, and when we move it we will give you credit based on amount of work and effort that is shown. We want to reward information that is new or insightful. Re using the same points you see on amazing resources like the DigitalOcean community, or making the text read like a software documentation guide will not be accepted. If you have questions while making your guide you can contact us. You can maybe open a discussion about you making the guide and tagging staff, or asking for feedback from others.
Feel free to put at the bottom info about your project, or maybe include this in your profile BIO.
This is a new program idea, we may change it as time goes on, but we would love to see amazing and unique articles and tutorials.
